Commissioner Jackson Carnes announces resignation

Commissioner Jackson Carnes has announced that he is resigning from his seat representing single member district 2A07 on Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 2A. Commissioner Carnes currently serves as the Director of Constituent Services for DC’s Ward 4 Councilmember Brandon Todd, and has recently moved to 16th Street Heights to better serve the residents of Ward 4.

Commissioner Carnes would like to thank his constituents, fellow Foggy Bottom and West End neighbors, and colleagues on the ANC for their support during his three years of service on Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2A.

Commissioner Carnes has notified the DC Board of Elections of his resignation, and the Board will be posting a vacancy notice for the position shortly. Once the notice has been posted, residents of single member district 2A07 who are interested in running mid-term to fill the vacancy on the ANC will be able to pick up petitions from and submit signatures to the Board of Elections. The Board’s vacancy notice will indicate the due date to submit petitions.
