At its regular April meeting last Wednesday evening, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2A unanimously approved a $1,000 grant application from St. Mary’s Court, an apartment building for seniors in Foggy Bottom, pending a review of the application by the Office of the DC Auditor. This Tuesday, the Auditor’s Office determined that the grant application met the requirements for ANC grants, and thus the grant will be promptly distributed to St. Mary’s Court.

Funds from the grant will be used for the upkeep of St. Mary’s Court’s 13-passenger bus that transports residents and community members to much needed shopping trips, as well as cultural and educational outings.
